Privacy Policy

LaunchReel (launchreel.io) is run by Launchreel, a business based in Cuauhtémoc, Ciudad de México, Mexico. We’re responsible for the personal data described here, under Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to reach us.
What we collect
- What you give us to make a video: your app’s web address, the screenshots you upload, your logo, and the text you write or edit, such as the name, description, captions and call to action.
- What we read from your site: when you paste a web address, we fetch that public page’s text and logo to suggest the copy for your video.
- Your video: the finished video and the settings used to make it.
- Payment: Stripe takes your payment and collects your card details and email for the receipt. We never see your full card number. We receive whether the payment went through, the amount, and which video it was for.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser details, in our hosting provider’s logs and to limit abuse, such as too many requests in an hour.
- Visits: our homepage uses DataFast analytics to count visits and see which pages are used.
- In your browser: the create page saves your recent videos in your browser’s local storage, so you can come back to them. That stays on your device.
We don’t ask for an account, a password or your name. Please don’t put other people’s personal data in your screenshots.
Why we use it
- To make, show and deliver your video.
- To take payment, send refunds and prevent fraud.
- To keep the service running, fix problems and stop abuse.
- To understand, in aggregate, how people use the site.
We don’t sell your personal data. We don’t use your screenshots or your video in our own marketing without asking you first.
Who helps us
We share data only with the providers who run parts of LaunchReel for us, and only what each one needs:
- Cloudflare: hosting, the servers that render videos, and file storage.
- Anthropic: its Claude AI reads your page text and screenshots to write the captions and plan the video. Anthropic’s commercial terms don’t allow it to train its models on this data.
- Stripe: payments and refunds.
- DataFast: website analytics.
These providers may process data outside Mexico, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep each video’s files (screenshots, text and the video) so your download link keeps working. To have a video deleted, email us the link to it, the page address with ?job= in it, and we’ll delete it, normally within 30 days. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it or delete it, and you can object to how we use it or withdraw your consent. Under Mexican law these are known as your ARCO rights. Email us and we’ll answer within 20 days. If you think we’ve handled your data wrongly, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
LaunchReel isn’t meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll say so on the homepage.
